To be considered:

  • be either a native or has similar training and experience in foreign language: SPANISH and GERMAN
  • be able to effectively communicate in the said languages with customers – email or voice
  • be experienced in translation and similar field is REQUIRED

Essential Functions as Customer Service Representative

1. Maintains customer database: updates data and makes necessary changes.
2. Encourages customers to purchase additional products.
3. Determines/understands customers’ needs with strong objection/response handling.
4. Manages customer queries/complaints either in email or call-handling.

Essential Functions as Translator

  • Reading through original material and rewriting it in the target language, ensuring that the meaning of the source text is retained
  • Researching legal, technical and scientific phraseology to find the correct translation;
  • Ensure that the translation is easily understandable and accurate
  • Make sure that the translated information conforms to the culture and linguistics of the target reader
  • Ensure appropriate relay of concepts and ideas between the source and target languages
  • Compile terminology and information such as technical terms that need to be used in translation
  • Ensure appropriate use of CAT (computer-assisted translation) tools and translation memories to ensure that translation work is done with due diligence
  • Proofreading and editing final translated versions
  • Providing clients with a grammatically correct, well-expressed final version of the translated text, usually as a word-processed document;
  • Prioritize translation work to meet deadlines on multiple translation projects
  • Ensure that all translated material follows translation quality standards set by the company
