The contractor shall employ a competent Safety Officer with a degree in Safety engineering or two years technical degree plus at least 40 instructional hours of Formal Safety Training accompanied by certification in professional safety by OSHA- accredited, nationally or internationally recognized safety training organization like BCSP NASP, and/ or IASP as CSP. CCHEST or CSM or approved formal local- training. Proven past similar experience in similar projects may be acceptable. The formal training shall be with emphasis on Personal Protective Equipment. Space Entry, Hot Work, Fire Preventions & Containment, Trenching & Shoring, and Heavy Construction Equipment. Work experience in Middle East is a plus. He must have proven acceptable conversational and written communication skills in Technical English.
