Responsibilities

The process modeler is primarily responsible for capturing and managing graphical business process models. Process modeling is the activity in which details of a business process are expanded in a business process model which can be used for the purposes of communicating a process, process analysis and potentially for process execution/automation. This role builds consensus among the different stakeholders on current and future state process models, and looks for opportunities to improve the current business process:
• Leads process capture and modeling efforts within process improvement, optimization and automation efforts.
• Expert in process elucidation, decomposition, and scoping.
• Identifies key opportunities.
• Identifies KPIs and SLAs in the scope of a process.
Process models are elaborated upon by the process modeler until sufficiently detailed models (including exception flows, detailed message flows, etc.) are produced to meet the stated goals and purpose of a particular modeling effort


Qualifications

• Use of process modeling techniques, standard tools and methodologies: for example Business Process Modeling and Notation (BPMN).
• Ability to educate business users on how to read and walk through a process model.
• Ability to present process models in a relevant business context.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with multiple levels of the workforce including senior managers.
• Ability to foster and build relationships, engage with others, work with diverse business users and business units.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 3+ years’ progressive business analysis and/or operations experience within a large complex corporate environment with regulatory considerations.
