Senior Automation Engineer
An opportunity has arisen for a QA automation engineer to test the software platform for a new digital asset exchange; focused on an institutional client base. The ideal applicant will bring previous experience of building scalable mission critical systems in the cloud.
The ideal candidate will have a real passion for success and will be never satisfied by achieving the bare minimum. They will be of an entrepreneurial mind set and have a real passion for detail and customer care. They will be someone who relishes a challenge and flourishes on seeing their team improve and achieve targets.
With a strong background in software engineering your focus will be to improve and build upon our automated testing processes. The application is developed using TypeScript with Node.js and development of the desktop application is with JavaScript ES6+ with React on the Electron platform. You will be working with an in-house development team and an augmented remote development team.
Key Responsibilities
· Design test cases to satisfy user stories and feature requirements utilising a BDD/ATDD approach
· Participate in sprint activities, test preparation, creating manual and automated test cases
· Raise defects with development
· Write automated tests using Spectron in JavaScript & TypeScript
· Perform cross browser and cross platform testing
· Test backend systems
· Troubleshoot and discover root cause of complex issues
· Collaborate with Developers to continuously improve the testability and robustness of the codebase

· Worked in an Agile environment
· Blockchain
· Strong understanding of CI/CD and build pipelines
