Position Overview
The Financial Reporting Asst. Manager entails a vital role on the financial reporting function within the organization. They prepare and analyzes financial statement reports, disclosures, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves working closely with other teams, such as accounting, finance and internal audit to gather and verify financial data for accurate reporting
Responsibilities:
Responsible for preparing financial reports, producing activity statements and monitoring account
Prepares financial statement, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements
Oversee proper and timely collecting validating and analyzing financial data from various sources to ensure accuracy and completeness
Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports for internal and external stakeholders
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and resolve any discrepancies or issues
Support the implementation of accounting policies and procedures to improve financial reporting processes
Conduct research and interpret accounting standards and regulatory guidelines to ensure compliance in financial reporting
Ensures compliance with regulations and accounting standard and implements and updates financial reporting procedures and standards of the company
Perform financial analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights for management decision-making
Documents and maintains financial reporting controls and procedures
Prepares ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as required
Stay updated on industry trends, accounting standards, and regulatory changes impacting financial reporting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy
CPA licensed holder is a plus
Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles and financial reporting standards (e.g. GAAP, IFRS)
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting software
Analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross functional teams
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to meet deadlines
Knowledge of financial analysis techniques and financial modeling is a plus
Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle) is desirable
