Responsibilities

•Undertake requirement capture activities to elicit requirements that accurately reflect the need of end users.
•Undertake requirements analysis to provide initial software requirements that provide sufficient detail to allow on-going development.
•Undertake design activities to develop sustainable software designs that can be communicated to other team members and in line with advice from Senior Software Developers.
•Implement software designs, taking into consideration Company and industry best practices.
•Design and implement comprehensive tests, taking into consideration Company and industry best practises.
•Design and implement User Acceptance tests, taking into consideration User imposed, Company and Industry standards and in line with advice from Senior Software Developers.
•Provide documentation to an appropriate level as required.
•Ensure that all work adheres to company standards.
•Provide second and third line product support where the need dictates.
•Build relationships with all other areas of the business to assist the communication of concepts, ideas business and technical information.
•Assist the Technical Team to provide flexible solutions that balance the technical and business needs of the Company.
•Maintain an accurate record of progress using company tracking tools.
•Provide periodic, accurate progress reports to Project Managers and Technical Team.
•Provide End User training where necessary.
•Present a professional and focussed interface to ensure clarity of communication in support of business objectives.
•Suggests areas for improvement in internal processes along with possible solutions.
•Assists internal teams/task forces as required.
•Complies with and helps to enforce standard Boylesports policies and procedures.

Requirements

•Knowledge of MVC3, C#, .NET,XML, ASP, JavaScript, HTML and PHP.
•Ability to solve problems quickly and completely.
•Ability to identify tasks which require automation and automate them.
•Possess excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on verbal and written communication.
•Ability to multi-task and stay organized in a dynamic work environment.
•Possess a positive attitude.
•Ability to "think outside the box".
•Consult with the Senior Software/Web Developers regarding professional skill development.
•Participate in development of long range planning for new projects and facilities.
•Experience and ability to teach or instruct co-workers.
•Providing advice, training and technical support for various projects.
•As new technologies emerge and impact our systems, expected to learn these technologies very quickly.
•Ability to learn new programming languages quickly.
•Assists and take guidance from other team members in designing programs and databases.
•Ability to write, edit, and debug computer programs to achieve desired output.
•Ability to work productively in a team.
•Knowledge of maintaining and debugging live software systems.
•Firm knowledge of standard development tools.
•Ability to determine whether a particular problem is caused by hardware, operating systems software, application programs, or network failures.
•Understanding of security and encryption.
•Updates and modifies computer programs to improve efficiency.
•Demonstrated ability to use standard computing tools: Word processor, spreadsheet, browser, email, and file compression software.
