Purpose and general responsibilities of the position

A. Responsible to Finance and Support Manager for the day-to-day operations of accounts payable/accounts receivable operations in MNL office for various geographical segments – US&AU/EU/SIN
B. Responsible in providing finance process training to members/non-members of the team within PURLOG and other interested parties
C. Directly manage the team of 6-8 members; provide coaching and handle people development
D. Handles delivery of ad hoc projects when and if any.

A. Responsible to the Finance and Support Manager MNL for day-to-day accounts payable/accounts receivable operations of the team with 6-8 members per geographical segments – US&AU/EU/SIN
• Responsible for leading the day-to-day accounts payable/accounts receivable operations of the team through application of broad knowledge/experience
• Set and achieve day-to-day target on accounts payable/accounts receivable e2e processes (scan to approval) in support to the finance and support manager’s strategy that has impact to a wider ops area
• Responsible for segment processes, approval of invoices, review and monitor of transactions and processes
• Identify areas of concern and update or modify working methods in own role without the benefit of defined procedures, and also create measurement tool/template
• Initial point of escalation on accounts payable/accounts receivable issues; escalate to finance and support manager if needed
• and act as the agent in the absence of finance and support manager
B. Responsible in providing finance process training to members/non-members of the team within PURLOG and other interested parties
• Convey and explain facts, practices, policies, etc. to members within finance and members within PURLOG re finance processes
• Provide informal training/coaching to new and existing members of finance team
C. Manage the team of 6-8 members
• Manage attendance and assign shift schedule of members
• Discuss/address/resolve issues/concerns with members and escalate when necessary
• Provide professional coaching/training & developmet to members
• Handles performance appraisals and pdp of members
D. Handles delivery of ad hoc projects when and if any


 Education and work experience
• Bachelor’s degree in accountancy
• Passed the CPA licensure examination preferred, MBA is an advantage
• PEX knowledge/Green Belt certified is preferred
• More than 5 years experience in general accounting (RTR)/ Accounts payable(PTP)/accounts receivable
• At least 2 years experience in supervisory role with team size of 10-20 fte
• Experience in accounting systems application
• Previous 1-3 years experience in BPO industry/Shipping industry/MNC
