Description

Our growing company is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer who will hold the position as Asst. Chief Engineer of our Engineering team. Will assist the Chief Engineer in ensuring the efficient development, design, and production of high-quality electrical meters, overseeing engineering projects, ensuring technical precision, and maintaining regulatory compliance. With the Chief Engineer, he will be pivotal in guiding engineering team, driving innovation, and ensuring project milestones are achieved.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership:
    • Assist the Chief Engineer in setting and implementing technical strategies and objectives for the engineering team.
    • Lead and mentor a team of engineers in various disciplines, including electrical, mechanical, and software engineering.
    • Provide technical guidance and support to engineers during the design, development, and testing phases of new meter models.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory requirements related to electrical meters.
  • Product Development & Design:
    • Contribute to the development of new meter models, ensuring adherence to design specifications, performance standards, and cost targets.
    • Oversee the design and implementation of advanced features and functionalities in electrical meters, such as smart metering capabilities or communication protocols.
    • Conduct feasibility studies and technical assessments for new product ideas and concepts.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage engineering projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
    • Lead project teams through all phases of the product development lifecycle, from initial concept to final production.
    • Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for components and materials.
  • Documentation & Reporting:
    • Prepare technical documentation for new meter models, including design specifications, user manuals, and test reports.
    • Generate reports on engineering activities, project progress, and product performance.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Participate in industry events and conferences to stay abreast of best practices and emerging technologies.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Registered Electrical Engineer or Licensed Electronics Engineer.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the electrical meter manufacturing industry.
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, including circuit design, power electronics, and measurement techniques.
  • Experience in the design and development of various types of electrical meters, such as smart meters, energy meters, or power meters.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Additional Desired Skills:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality management systems.
  • Project management certification.
