Key Responsibilities:
Tax Preparation
- Form 1040 & Supporting Schedules: Prepare and file Form 1040 (U.S. individual income tax return), including Itemized Deductions, Interest and Ordinary Dividends, Profit or Loss from Business, Capital Gains and Losses, Supplemental Income and Loss, and Self-Employment Tax.
- Amended Returns: Prepare and process amended returns using Form 1040-X when corrections or updates are required.
Client-Focused Consultation & Strategy
- Personalized Client Consultation: Engage with clients to gather comprehensive financial data and documentation.
- Provide tailored advice on maximizing deductions, credits, and optimizing tax positions.
- Strategic Tax Planning: Collaborate with clients to develop year-round tax strategies that minimize liabilities and enhance tax efficiency.
Tax Filing & Compliance Oversight
- Filing Process Management: Oversee the entire filing process, ensuring that all tax returns are submitted electronically or by mail within required deadlines.
- IRS & State Correspondence: Act as the main point of contact for any IRS or state tax authority communications, managing follow-up requests and audits as needed.
Review & Quality Assurance
- Rigorous Review: Conduct thorough self-review of all tax returns before final submission to ensure accuracy and compliance with all applicable tax laws.
- Data Integrity: Analyze client data meticulously to identify any discrepancies, potential tax-saving opportunities, or areas of concern.
Documentation & Record Management
- Efficient Record-Keeping: Maintain detailed and organized records of all tax-related documents, client interactions, and filings.
- Secure Documentation: Ensure that all client data and tax documentation are securely stored in compliance with data protection regulations.

- Deadline & Client Management: Proven ability to manage multiple client accounts and deadlines efficiently, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline. Progress toward or completion of EA certification is highly advantageous.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in preparing and filing Form 1040 and associated schedules.
Competencies:
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. individual tax laws and regulations.
- High proficiency in CCH Axcess Tax
- In-depth knowledge with different US Tax Forms such as Form 5471, Form8621, Form 3520-A and Form 3520.
- Strong analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex tax concepts clearly to clients and team members
