Java Developer [fully Remote]

Canadian startup with focus on sales analytics and document management is looking to hire an experienced java developer to add to our team. This is a fully remote, 4 to 6 months full time contract with potential for permanent employment for the right candidate.

Your work will consist of:

Being part of a small skilled engineering team
Building quality products in close collaboration with the business
Influencing the direction of the product and technical solutions
Working remotely from your location - this is a fully remote position
Working both independently and as part of a team of talented, friendly colleagues from around the world

Requirements:

3+ years development experience
Expert knowledge of Java
Knowledge of Hibernate or JPA
Experience with Java web frameworks such as Struts or Stripes or similar
Working knowledge of JS, CSS and HTML
Experience with Java web servers (e.g. Tomcat, Jboss or other)
Experience in designing and developing web applications
Experience working on customer focused projects or in professional services
Experience with distributed version control (Git and Github)
Experience with SQL database (PostgreSQL, MySQL, other RDBMS)
Good spoken and written English communication skills

We’ll be especially impressed if you have:

Experience with EJBs
Experience with Jboss
Experience with Amazon Marketplace Web Services
Experience with AWS


Monthly Salary:

PHP: 62,000 - 72,500

Location:

Fully remote at your location with flexible working hours
